A police stall in Wrexham has been officially launched to increase officers’ visibility and engagement in the city centre.
Based in the Butchers Market and manned by the Wrexham City Local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
It aims to offer a more accessible service to the public and residents are encouraged to pop in to discuss or report any concerns or issues locally.

It is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 2pm and 4pm and will run as a pilot until the end of the year.
The stall is funded through Operation Restore, a Home Office initiative that aims to combat serious violence and anti-social behaviour (ASB) in problem areas.
Chief Inspector Ian Roberts, force lead Anti Social Behaviour lead said: “Close engagement with our communities is key to making people feel reassured and that we are listening to their needs.
“We hope the enhanced policing presence will also serve as a further deterrent to retail crime and ASB, helping to minimise the risk to retail staff and to members of the public.
“At the moment, the stall will run until the end of the year but if we receive positive feedback from the community, we will look to extend it into the new year.”

Sergeant Sarah Hughes-Jones said: “Please call in and say hello, we are more than happy to discuss any issues you may have or listen to any concerns.
“The stall will increase our presence in the city centre and allows officers to be on hand quicker if there is an incident, hopefully providing an increased level of reassurance within the community.
“It also provides another accessible option for people who want to contact us, whether it be advice about a particular issue, or even if it isn’t a police issue, we can always signpost you to the correct agency who can help.
“We look forward to meeting you.”
