North Wales Police are looking to recruit the following transferees:

• Substantive Police Constables and substantive Police Sergeants from other Home Office Forces. Applications are particularly welcome from Constables with less than 15 years’ service who do not require significant adaption training and Officers from under-represented groups.
• We are particularly interested in Home Office Authorised Firearms trained officers.
• We are interested in applications from Constables seeking promotion to Sergeant for our upcoming NPPF Step 3 Selection Process.

In addition to the normal recruitment tests - interview, fitness, medical, security checks etc. and in accordance with the North Wales Police Welsh Language Scheme, all appointments will be subject to successfully demonstrating basic skills in the Welsh language and attaining Level 2 competency.

In reality this means understanding the essence of a conversation in Welsh; the ability to convey basic information and give and receive instructions and directions. To support you in this process the force has provided a self-teach learning package, available in the Welsh Language section.
